The Movie Detroit- Injustices

              The Movie Detroit faces segregation and police brutality against the race of African- American people. In the beginning of the movie the law enforcement came to lock all who was there and who was responsible for having illegal things inside of the night club that wasn’t allowed to be open and they took them in for substances such as guns, gambling, drugs.  


There were two black cops who was under cover I believe who set them up they we’re charge with having liquor, drugs Etc. inside the juke-jaunt. The city of Detroit wanted to take back their city because it was  no control by the city police nor the government they sent the army because it was a threat of staplers killing off city police  so the city of Detroit started riots in the south side of Detroit and people were getting killed they was stealing groceries, tv’s anything they could get their hands on it was 1967 and blacks were still getting treated like they were slaves. 

Throughout the movie it we’re like five men that had dream of becoming stars of Detroit Mo-Town records they had big dreams of being rich one day. They also were getting ready to perform one night but couldn’t because it wasn’t safe for people to be out because the city was full of riots and that it was too dangerous for them to be out so late, so they shut the show down so the group splits up to go home.

 As they split up two of the  African American men couldn’t make it home so they decided to get a room that looked like a house and met these two white women after meeting the white women the two went to someone else room which we’re full of other black men they begins to talk about what’s going on in the city and how they could stop the riots, save their people from getting kill from the city of Detroit police so one of the African American men had a toy gun and was pretending to act out as the white police officers and how they act when they see black people as a threat as they continues to pretends one of the black men pulls out the fake gun and shoot one of his friends everybody in the room was scared and shock after all of that it was a prank to scare the white women and the two other African American men off so they could leave.  

They left the man that had the gun decided to mess with the law enforcement so as he continues to shoot the gun they were spotted by the city police before you know it the Detroit police was questioning them to see if anyone was going to confess who was shooting at the police didn’t nobody wanted to talk they all was scared the city of Detroit police killed three innocent black men and wasn’t charge with nothing that’s shows you how much they cared enough about African American people in the 60s.
